As I was reflecting on the four domains of emotional intelligence, one aspect really stood out to me- self management.

I would like to bring this insight here- so, it's the ability to not let your emotions hijack your behavior in the moment. It's choosing how to respond rather than react. And then I thought about what we see around today-

- Public confrontations spiraling out of the control

- Emotional outbursts causing accidents, harm and loss.

all of these aren't just about infrastructure, law or existing government workings - it's about people struggling to manage their emotions and see how it is unfolding which is devastating in long term.

remember- when you are angry and somebody says to you- control yourself- no, it's less about controlling the action but more about understanding the underpinnings of the actions- it's about awareness, grounding and conscious reflection.

Imagine, if emotional regulation was taught like math? - we would have been conscious to also pause, step back, reflect, breathe and then respond.
